| | | Iron Strand has through Frydendahl, the parent company of Iron Strand, supplied fishing nets and all kind of fishing equipment to the industry since 1933, and Iron Strand is glad to share their experience with their customers.
During these years the industry has developed a lot. Fishermen have built new and top modern fishing vessels, and Iron Strand has invested a lot of resources in order to support the industry with up to date fishing nets and other equipment.
In 1993 Iron Strand established their factory in Estonia. The main products manufactured at the factory are fully rigged fishing nets and also braided float and lead lines. The factory has a large capacity, a special department manufacturing all kinds of braided lines has been established – totally Iron Strand has app. 250 braiders in operation, and the products vary for 0,25 mm to 40 mm diameter. Lobster- and Crab pots are also being manufactured.
With regard to net rigging, we are in a position to manufacture all kinds of fully rigged gill nets. One of our services is cleaning and stripping of used gill nets. More than 50 % of the app. 45.000 nets, we are rigging in Estonia annually, are rigged on second hand lines.
